BRAC IED does not conduct any undergraduate programs.
BRAC IED conducts 02 (two) Postgraduate programs and they are:
a. Master of Science in Early Childhood Development
b. Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement

-For PGD in Early Childhood Development: 18-months (One and a half year).
-For PGD in Educational Leadership and School Improvement: 18-months (One and a half year).
For Master of Science in Early Childhood Development we offer both: 24-months (Two Years) and 12-months (One Year)
-For Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement we offer both: 24-months (Two Years) and 12-months (One Year)
BRAC IED offers 3 semesters a year: Spring, Summer & Fall, and these start in January, May & September respectively.
For M.Ed./ PGD in Educational Leadership and School Improvement: BRAC IED offers admission thrice a year (Spring, Summer & Fall).
For MSc./ PGD in Early Childhood Development: Traditionally; BRAC IED offers admission thrice a year (Spring, Summer & Fall).
The available programs with credits are as follows:

b. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Educational Leadership and School Improvement : 27 Credits
c. Master of Science in Early Childhood Development : 36 Credits
d. Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement : 36Credits
Yes, for the completion of PGD in Early Childhood Development, a student can deposit the entire program fee (tuition fee) or pay in 5 unequal instalments.
For the completion of MSc. in Early Childhood Development, a student can deposit the entire program fee (tuition fee) or pay in 6 unequal instalments.
For the completion of PGD in Educational Leadership & School Improvement, a student can deposit the entire program fee (tuition fee) or pay in 5 unequal instalments.
For the completion of M.Ed. in Educational Leadership & School Improvement, a student can deposit the entire program fee (tuition fee) or pay in 6 unequal instalments.
The applicants can apply only online for admission (admissions.bracu.ac.bd)
The applications process is the same for all applicants.
a. Applicants must have a total of 15-years of schooling with at least a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (having NO 3rd class/division or CGPA below 2.50 at any stage of the academic career, from SSC/O level to Graduation). Applicants must have at least 5-courses to complete with CGPA not below 2.50 in O level, and, must have at least 2-courses to complete with CGPA not below 2.50 in A level completion (it may be mentioned that, one ‘E’ is acceptable as per the BRAC University scale: : A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1).
b. Applicants having the O level/SSC and GED (General Education Development) test will NOT be eligible to enroll into M.Ed. /ECD program. Applicants must have the HSC/A level or equivalent degree in this regard.
c. Applicants (Bangladeshi) who have finished academic degree(s) from abroad will have to put forward the following documents at the time of admission, and, will have to present the academic papers accordingly:
i. The copies of previous academic records which have to be verified from respective institutions
or,
Attested from respective Embassy/High Commission/Foreign Ministry working in Bangladesh
or,
Respective institution(s) must send an email (to: admissions@bracu.ac.bd) on student’s information.
ii. Equivalence certificate from University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh
or,
iii. Ministry of Education, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh before the end of 1st semester.
d. Applicant (Foreigner) will have to submit the following papers accordingly to BRACU at time of admission:
i) Photocopy of the passport (only the pages where duration of VISA and photograph appears clearly).
ii) NOC issued from Embassy/High Commission/Foreign Ministry working in Bangladesh.
or, NOC issued from the government of the respective country.
iii) Certificate equivalence/Attested of the academic papers from the Embassy/High Commission/ Foreign Ministry working in Bangladesh (should be with English translation).
or,
Respective institution(s) must send an email (to: admissions@bracu.ac.bd) on student’s information before getting the enrollment in a program.
Our requirement is to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level. For ‘O’ level best 5 subjects and ‘A’ level best 2 subjects will be counted. The grade will be calculated according to BRAC University scale: A=5, B=4, C=3 and D=2. Subjects with E Grade will not be considered.

Applicants are required to upload their scanned recent passport size formal photograph taken within last three months.
If applicants make any mistake during filling up their application form and submit it with that error, they are required to send an email immediately at:
admissions-support@bracu.ac.bd and admissions@bracu.ac.bd to inform the authority.
Local Applicants need to pay the non-refundable application fee Tk. 1500. For international applicants, the non-refundable application fee is US$ 20.

The admission under ECD department suggests all candidates to sit for a written admission test (for an hour to attend the minimum standard of English proficiency and subject knowledge required by the Institution) and an interview (15-20minutes) in the same date.
*In the pandemic situation however, the candidates will have to attend an interview (15-20minutes) only.
The admission under M.Ed. department doesn’t have any written admission. The candidates will have to attend an interview (15-20minutes) only.
For getting admission into BRACU, international applicants must appear for written test (only for ECD) and interview (both for ECD and M.Ed.) on the date and time mentioned in their admit cards in the designated exam site in their respective home countries.
The applicants do not need to mention or have any work experience while submitting the application/admission form for ECD and M.Ed. programs.
After the deadline of submitting the Admission Form, candidates are requested to login to collect the Admit Card from the link given on their Dashboard. They are required to download the Admit Card and print it out in 80 gm A4 size white page. Applicants must bring this printed Admit Card to the exam hall; otherwise, they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
After the publication of the admission test result, applicants are required to check the result at BRAC IED’s website (https://www.bracied.com/academics/) An email will also be sent to all successful candidates to complete their admission formalities in a certain time-frame from the Admission & Registration Office of BRAC IED.

Candidates who have passed from abroad have to submit copies of previous academic documents verified/attested from their respective Institute/Foreign Ministry (Mentioned in detail in the above Q-9, however).
M.Ed. Day batch classes are held 5 days a week (10:00 am-3:00 pm) and Evening batches 2 days a week (5:30 pm-7:30 pm) and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
ECD classes are held 3 days a week (5:30 pm -8:30 pm), no classes on Fridays.
To change department, you need to collect a department change form from the Registrar’s office; then you need both Chairpersons’ (current Dept. and desired Dept.) signature on the form. After that contact the Registrar’s office again for submitting the form.

Yes, BRACU will assist in applying for the visa as needed by a foreign student.
